Hotel Education Partnership Program
Chair: Ernest Nishizaki, Vice President & COO, Kyo-ya Co., Ltd.
The Hotel Education Partnership Program (HEPP) was formerly known as the Adopt-A-School program. Over the last 28 years, the Adopt-A-School program has evolved to encompass programs that explore career opportunities, educator internship programs and student scholarships. The program goals are (1) Create awareness in Hawaii's leading industry and it's impact on local economy; (2) Foster respect for Hawaii and all that it represents, sharing the Aloha Spirit as a unique style of hospitality to all who visit our community; (3) Align the needs of education and business and present programs that are inspiring, inclusive and grounded for students to east their transition from school to work; and (4) Give back to our community though identification and support of activities that nurture the environment and honor our cultural diversity.
The partnership are forever evolving with new contacts, new ideas and new events. The HHLA office is more than happy to help assist you and your partner. Below are some helpful ideas and request forms. Please feel free to contact Tina Yamaki if you have any questions or concerns regarding this program at (808) 923-0407 or via email at tyamaki@hawaiihotels.org
